On 4th March, 2016, Dr. Huang Weiqi, Class Representative of DBA 2006 visited Professor Shu Guang Zhang, Rector of City University of Macau. On behalf of 2006 DBA Class, Dr. Huang extended his wishes and congratulated Professor Shu Guang Zhang to be the Rector of City University of Macau. Professor Zhang was pleased to learn about the recent development and the inspiring achievements of class members of 2006 DBA Class.

The meeting centered on the complementary issues of education perspectives, classroom teaching and students’ experiential learning. Professor Zhang remarked that CityU has developed over the years and at the verge of a new plateau at the present stage. He advised that one should equip with an independent mindset with extensive perspective, and he further stressed that it was foremost important to integrate teaching with students’ experiential learning. Given the aggregate advantage of the alumni, this could serve to cultivate an experiential learning platform as well as fostering a case bank to share the inspirational business wisdom to provide an endeavor to develop outstanding students. The Faculty of Business was initiated to develop in this aspect as such to nurture its special features and mode.

The issue of establishing a Faculty of Business Alumni in Mainland China was explored. In addition, the items of launching the 2006 DBA special project scholarship and participation in the 35th Anniversary Celebration were conferred.Professor Zhang conveyed his gratitude and warm regards to all alumni. The meeting filled with alma mater compassion throughout and ended in an interactive and harmonious atmosphere.
