On February 4, 2026, the Faculty of Business of the City University of Macau organized a team of students and faculty for a visit to the Hengqin National Wetland Park (Erjingwan). The trip was a science education and research activity themed "Exploring Wetland Ecology."

Encounter with Erjingwan: Discovering the Wonders of Life in a Natural Landscape

At 13:50 that afternoon, the students and faculty gathered at the Hengqin Port and proceeded to the Hengqin National Wetland Park. Guided by a professional ecological instructor, the group first visited the Science Education Center. Through indoor learning sessions, participants gained a systematic understanding of the ecological composition of the Erjingwan Wetland and its crucial role as a regional ecological barrier.

Subsequently, the research team ventured into the heart of the wetland. During the walk, guided by the instructor, the participants immersed themselves in nature, observing the graceful movements of rare wetland birds and encountering a diverse array of aquatic plants. The ecological instructor provided insightful and accessible explanations about the structure, life cycles, and irreplaceable roles of wetland organisms within the ecological chain, transforming ecological data into vivid, real-world observations.

This activity emphasized the integration of "learning and reflection." Participants who completed the course and passed the assessment were awarded an "Ecological Experience Learning Certificate." In the future, we look forward to more outstanding participants becoming ambassadors for ecological exchange, continuing to advocate for regional environmental conservation efforts.
