Recently, Professor José C. Alves, Dean of the FOB, led a group of MBA international students to visit the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Cooperation Service Platform Exhibition Hall. The visit offered a firsthand look at the Forum's achievements in promoting Sino-Portuguese economic and cultural cooperation.

The event was honored to feature a welcome speech by Dr. Danilo Afonso Henriques, Deputy Secretary-General of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao). Dr. Henriques introduced new students from Portuguese-speaking countries at City University of Macau and provided a detailed explanation of the Forum’s establishment background, historical evolution, mission, and future goals. He emphasized the platform’s critical role in promoting economic and trade cooperation, investment exchanges, and cultural interactions between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Following this, the delegation visited the "China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform" exhibition area, guided by staff from the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM). Through rich exhibits, data, and multimedia presentations, the international students gained further insights into the concrete achievements of cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries in areas such as infrastructure, financial services, legal collaboration, and enterprise partnerships. They also developed a deeper understanding of Macao’s strategic role as a "China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Platform."

This visit not only enhanced the students' global outlook, but also creating a strong foundation for future educational and business partnerships.
