FOB Holds a Briefing Session on MBA Thesis Writing

On the afternoon of 19th April, the Faculty of Business held a MBA Thesis Writing Briefing Session at the Ho Yin Convention Centre. Professor Kong Fanqing, Vice Rector of City University of Macau; Professor Cai Zhiming, Head of the Academic Affairs Office and Graduate Office; Doctor Eva Khong, Executive Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business; and FOB teachers attended this session, which explained policies and procedures for MBA thesis submission.

Prof. Kong stated that the increasing quality and quantity of admissions demonstrated the excellent academic and educational standards of City U. She encouraged students to do their best when writing their thesis for graduation, so they would achieve outstanding results in the final metres of this degree programme.

Prof. Cai introduced the procedures and requirements for thesis submission and oral dissertation examinations. He also reminded students to complete all related paperwork. He recommended that they read through the Postgraduate Handbook to discover all the appropriate details.

Associate Professor Yu Veicheng, on behalf of FOB teachers, gave an introduction to the elements of theses, including the proposal, research methodology, oral dissertation defence, and the like.

Mr. Tommy Tam of FOB academic staff explained that under this system, students must work closely with their thesis supervisor for the efficient preparation of their thesis.

The students thanked to FOB for this briefing session, which they found extremely helpful. They also had a lively discussion with the teachers present on thesis preparation.
