The FOB Holds a Briefing Session on the Different BBA and MBA Specializations

On March 8, 2017, the Faculty of Business Held a briefing session at its Taipa Campus on the different specializations available in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree Programme and Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree Programme. Professor Kong Fanqing, Vice Rector of the City University of Macau, delivered a welcoming speech. She explained that this session would clarify the programmes and areas of specialization, which would be extremely valuable in helping students to find their way. The FOB provided more specific groupings of subjects in order establish more professional study directions.

 

During the BBA session at the Cultural Centre, Mr. Fong Kwong Yee, the BBA Programme Coordinator, Assistant Professor Ge Mei, Assistant Professor Wang Jen-Hung and Assistant Professor Yang I-Chun introduced the four specializations: Marketing, Human Resources Management, Financial Management and International Business. Those FOB teachers present included: Associate Professor Lou Shiyan, Associate Professor Yu Veicheng, Assistant Professor Chu Chia Wei, Assistant Professor Shen Ching Fa, Assistant Professor Ho Kin Yan, Assistant Professor Chao Peng, Assistant Professor Leung Chung Sing, Assistant Professor Chen Wei-Nien, Assistant Professor Yang I-Chun, Senior Lecturer Lyu Dongjuan, Senior Lecturer Li Chun Lok, Senior Lecturer Lin Deqin and Senior Lecturer Leong Wai Nga. All teachers actively in the briefing session and shared their views with the students.

 

During the MBA session at the Ho Yin Convention Centre, Professor Chow Kwok Keung, Associate Professor Wang Yinggui, Assistant Professor Ge Mei and Assistant Professor Ho Kin Yan presented the four specializations: Human Resources Management, Accounting and Financial Management, Entrepreneurial and Enterprise Management and International Business Management.

 

The teachers described in detail all the courses and the job prospects they offered, clarifying the available avenues and directions for career development. All students followed their presentations with great attention, asking numerous questions about the advantages and merits of the different categories, to which the teachers responded with appropriate professional advice. Dr. Eva Khong, the MBA Programme Coordinator and Executive Associate Dean of Faculty of Business remarked, that both the BBA and MBA programmes offer professional and practical training in Management, Economics, Accounting and related professions. She encouraged all students to study hard while enjoying their university experiences. She hoped that all students would pick a suitable specialization for further study and explore its potential.
