On 9th October, 2015, Faculty of Business, City University of Macau (FOB, City U), Macau Institute of Financial Services (IFS) and International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) Hong Kong and Macau Centre co-organized a dinner in honour of Dr. Pontes' Retirement as Member of Administrative Council of Monetary Authority of Macao.

The attendees included Professor Kong Fan Qing, Vice Rector of City U; Dr. Eva Khong, Executive Associate Dean of FOB; Dr. Pontes, Chairman of Management Committee of IFS; Ms. Kun, representative from IFS; Mr. Samuel Yung, Chairman of IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Centre; and Mr. Allan Wan, representative from IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Centre.

Vice Rector Kong Fan Qing presented a souvenir to Dr. Pontes to mark his contribution in the financial industry of Macau. She praised Dr. Pontes for expanding the development of financial management in Macau, as well as nurturing professionals in the area by continuing in his job as the Chairman of Management Committee of IFS. IFS, City U and IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Centre are currently co-organizing professional financial consulting programs. People who are professional or interested in the field of financial consulting can apply. The programs offer specialized knowledge to students that they can readily become sought after financial consultants.

All parties present anticipated organizing more courses and academic activities together going forward.
