The Faculty of Business recently organized Master of Business Administration (MBA) students to participate in a series of innovation and entrepreneurship activities. Through campus resource sharing and field visits, the activities helped students understand Macau’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and connect classroom learning with industry practice.
The series began with a session in collaboration with the Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre. Mr. Isaac Tong, Supervisor of the Centre, introduced the University’s support services in entrepreneurship incubation, employment support, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and project mentoring. He also encouraged students to make good use of campus and external platforms to develop feasible entrepreneurial projects.
MBA students also visited 369 CoopTown to learn about the operation of a local entrepreneurship incubation and business service platform. Ms. Miriam Loi, Vice President of 369 CoopTown, introduced how the platform supports start-ups and SMEs through entrepreneurial spaces, community connections, business mentoring, investment and financing matching, and business information services. She also shared practical experiences in supporting entrepreneurial projects and SMEs in Macau.
The activities were organized and led by Assistant Professors Limeng Yu, Danni Ma and Peixin Zuo from the Faculty of Business, with the participation of Mr. Isaac Tong from the Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre. The series strengthened the Faculty’s connections with the University’s entrepreneurship and career platform and local innovation institutions, while helping MBA students broaden their professional horizons and develop innovative and entrepreneurial thinking.
