The Faculty of Business at the City University of Macau is proud to share that its Dean, Prof. José Alves, recently represented the University at the AMBA & BGA Latin America 2026 Conference held in Lima, Peru. Prof. Alves was an invited speaker for Session 13: "The Silk Road Network – Leadership Development and Green Entrepreneurship," a panel organized under the Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Network (SREEN) that brought together leading academics to discuss collaborative platforms, joint workshops, and study tours across the Belt & Road region. The session was chaired by Prof. Zhongming Wang, President of SREEN and International Advisor for China at AMBA & BGA.

During the session, Prof. Alves shared FOB's latest progress in AI leadership development and green entrepreneurship strategy. He also presented concrete proposals for Latin American business schools to engage more deeply with China, including through short duration mobility programmes, faculty exchanges, and co-developed curricula focused on the Belt & Road Initiative. Special focus was given to multi-school collaborative programmes for executives.

In addition to his conference participation, Prof. Alves visited three leading local business schools: CENTRUM Católica Graduate Business School, Universidad ESAN, and Universidad de Piura (PAD).

Prof. Alves's participation in the conference and his engagements with Peruvian business schools underscore the Faculty's strong commitment to international engagement, sustainable business education, and cross-border academic partnership.
