From March 6 to 8, students from the Faculty of Business at the City University of Macau participated in the “Techstars Global Women Startup Weekend – Macao,” where they showcased strong creativity and entrepreneurial potential. The event highlighted women-led entrepreneurship serving as a key platform for fostering innovation in Macao.

BBA students Yutong Xie, Kunzhe Chen, Zhao Zhi Liang, Ziting Zhang, and Bingning Wang took part in the intensive 54‑hour workshop, engaging in idea development, market research, and final pitching. Their projects spanned AI applications, pet services, and cultural tourism innovation, gaining valuable hands-on experience under mentor guidance.

Dean Professor José Alves attended the event to support the students and praised their outstanding performance. He emphasized the FOB’s commitment to nurturing business talent with global vision, innovative thinking, and practical competencies.

Moving forward, FOB will continue strengthening collaborations with industry, government, and the startup community, creating more opportunities for students to engage in real entrepreneurial environments and bring their ideas to the Macao and global stage.
