Faculty of Business recently successfully organized an academic lecture titled "Strategic Leadership Skills – Future Leadership" featuring Professor Ana Passos from the ISCTE Business School as the distinguished guest speaker. The event attracted numerous scholars and DBA students from both within and outside the university, generating enthusiastic responses and frequent interactions.

To further enrich the content of FOB's doctoral programme and promote international academic exchange, FOB has actively expanded collaborations with internationally renowned institutions. This lecture focused on the theory and practice of strategic leadership, aiming to help DBA students and industry professionals master the core competencies required of future leaders. As an authoritative scholar in the fields of organizational behavior and leadership, Professor Ana Passos has long been dedicated to research on team cognition, transactive memory systems, leadership behaviors, and team effectiveness, offering profound and forward-thinking insights.

During the lecture, Professor Ana Passos began by distinguishing and connecting the concepts of "leader" and "leadership skills" elaborating on the challenges and opportunities leaders face in the modern corporate environment. She emphasized that in a rapidly changing business landscape, exceptional leaders must not only possess strategic vision but also prioritize the cultivation of team interaction and learning behaviors. Through case studies and empirical research, she methodically explained how to develop leadership skills and enhance organizational adaptability.

Attendees included numerous DBA students in the entrepreneurial stage and senior corporate managers. During the Q&A session, they actively posed questions and engaged in in-depth discussions with the professor on practical issues related to building leadership capabilities.

This lecture not only strengthened the academic ties between the City University of Macau and the ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon but also provided a valuable learning platform for cultivating high-level business talent locally.
