On November 22, 2024, the FOB successfully held a talk titled “New Opportunities for Young Entrepreneurs in the New Era: The Sino-Portuguese Platform in Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries in Economic and Innovation Industries.” The talk featured Mr. Danny Zhou, Executive Director of GoldChess Aisa Consulting Ltd. and Executive Director of H.C. Group (Macau), as the keynote speaker.

During the talk, Mr. Zhou first introduced Macao's unique advantages as a Sino-Portuguese platform and discussed the current economic situation and potential markets of Portuguese-speaking countries. He emphasized that with the ongoing changes in the global economy, these countries offer countless new opportunities in economic and innovation industries for young entrepreneurs. Not only do they possess unique resources, markets, and cultures, but their increasingly close economic ties with China also provide ample space for diversified business development.

Following this, Mr. Zhou analyzed how to forecast and assess a company's potential from a mergers and acquisitions perspective, sharing valuable insights from his experiences in the business field. He encouraged students to embrace innovation and have the courage to explore unknown territories, highlighting the importance of corporate storytelling in brand building.

Additionally, Mr. Zhou addressed the significance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria in today’s business operations. He believes that for a company to stand out in long-term competition, it must focus on the performance of ESG criteria, which not only enhances the company's reputation but also contributes to sustainable social development.
