FOB Holds Special Lecture on "Young Leadership in AI era"

On November 13, the Faculty of Business was fortunate to invite Joseph Chan, Associate Professor of Practice and Associate Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Business School of the University of Hong Kong, to deliver an engaging lecture titled "Young Leadership in AI era" for IBC and MBA students.

 

During the lecture, Mr. Chan explored the latest developments in artificial intelligence technology and its impact on modern leadership. He emphasized that young leaders need to possess interdisciplinary thinking and innovative capabilities to stand out in a rapidly changing technological environment. Mr. Chan also shared his extensive experience in social innovation, technological innovation, smart city development, and digital transformation, illustrating how design thinking can be applied to leadership and entrepreneurial management through practical case studies.

 

Mr. Chan pointed out that future leaders must not only master technical knowledge but also possess empathy and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills. He highlighted that design thinking is an essential tool for solving complex problems and driving innovation, enabling leaders to reframe issues and propose innovative solutions.

 

In the final segment of the lecture, Mr. Chan engaged in in-depth discussions and interactions with faculty and students from the Faculty of Business. He patiently answered questions regarding artificial intelligence and leadership development, sharing valuable insights from his academic research and practical experiences. The attendees expressed that the lecture was highly beneficial, broadening their perspectives and igniting their enthusiasm for future innovation and entrepreneurship.
