On November 14, Mr. Qing Ye, Member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairman of the 12th All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and his delegation visited the City University of Macau (CityU), engaging in a series of campus tours and exchange activities. Associate Dean Yihui Tian of the Faculty of Business of the City University of Macau, personally greeted the visiting guests and extended a warm welcome. To allow the guests to have a deeper understanding of the campus environment, the university specially arranged student ambassadors to conduct a campus tour, leading the guests through every corner of the campus and experiencing the unique charm of the City University of Macau.
Following the tour, Vice Chairman Fanqing Kong of the Council of the City University of Macau met with several representatives from the Faculty of Business, including Dean José Alves, Associate Dean José Paulo Afonso Esperança, Associate Dean Yihui Tian, DBA Programme Coordinator Justin Xie and MBA Programme Coordinator Zhao Jing. Vice Chairman Kong expressed her heartfelt welcome and honor to the visiting guests and hoped for more delegations to visit the City University of Macau to witness and promote the university's development. She emphasized the importance of cooperation with the business community in mainland China and expressed the desire to strengthen connections to promote economic and academic exchanges and development. Additionally, Vice Chairman Kong hoped to deepen ties among alumni and organize more visits and talent exchange activities to foster collaboration among alumni enterprises.
Dean José Alves also addressed the meeting, highlighting the Faculty of Business's commitment to fostering exchanges and cooperation. He particularly noted the significance of collaboration with Portuguese-speaking countries and sincerely invited the guests to explore ways to deepen cooperation in this regard to jointly promote economic, academic, and cultural exchanges and development.
Associate Dean Yihui Tian introduced the history, educational characteristics, achievements, and prospects of the City University of Macau and the Faculty of Business to the visiting guests. He detailed the university’s efforts and achievements in cultivating international talents, promoting academic research, and serving society, and provided an overview of the overall development of the Faculty of Business.
The visiting guests also introduced themselves at the meeting and expressed great attention and appreciation for the development of the City University of Macau. They believed CityU had achieved remarkable results in cultivating high-quality talents and promoting academic innovation, and they were full of expectations for future cooperation.
The meeting featured friendly and in-depth discussions on future cooperation directions and methods. Both parties expressed their commitment to enhancing communication and collaboration to jointly promote economic and academic exchanges and achieve mutual benefits.
