The Faculty of Business recently invited Dr. Luís Vilela Pimentel, Coordinator of the Master's degree in Management of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences of the European University of Lisbon, to deliver an insightful lecture for DBA students titled “Change Dynamics in Organizations: A Specific Case of Institutional Entrepreneurship in the Public Sector.”
During the lecture, Dr. Pimentel explored the theories and practices of organizational change, particularly how institutional entrepreneurship in the public sector impacts modern management. The lecture covered various stages of organizational change, global contributions of institutional theory, and the evolution of management modes in the public sector. Through case analyses, Dr. Pimentel highlighted the crucial role of institutional entrepreneurs in driving organizational change.
The lecture not only provided DBA students with valuable theoretical knowledge but also encouraged them to consider how to apply these theories in real-world settings to navigate the rapidly changing business environment. The Faculty of Business looks forward to continuing its close ties with the international academic community to offer students more high-level academic exchanges and learning opportunities.
