Professor Kevin Hannam Named in the 2024 Stanford/Elsevier’s Top 2% Scientists in “Sport, Leisure and Tourism”

Professor Kevin Hannam (PhD) from the Faculty of Business at City University of Macau has recently been selected in the 2024 Stanford/Elsevier’s Top 2% Scientists in the field of "Sports, Leisure, and Tourism." This honor was jointly published by Stanford University and Elsevier publishers, highlighting his outstanding contributions to the academic community.

 

Professor Hannam's research in tourism, migration, and transport has garnered significant attention, with over 100 academic articles and 12 books to his name. He currently serves as the editor of the academic journals Mobilities and Applied Mobilities, which are published by Taylor and Francis in London and New York, focusing on the latest research findings in these areas.

 

Additionally, Professor Hannam is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, playing a vital role in advancing interdisciplinary research between geography and social sciences.

 

The ranking is available for both career-long impact and single-year performance. Career-long impact focuses on the influence throughout an entire academic career, while single-year performance highlights achievements within the current year (2024). In the latest update, Professor Kevin Hannam has been recognized for both categories.
