FOB Students Shine in the China Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao Accounting and Business Case Competition 2024

On July 27, 2024, the China Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao Accounting and Business Case Competition 2024, organized by the CCOIC Commercial Chamber of Commerce and the Data Science Lab at the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science of the University of Hong Kong, and co-organized by the (Hong Kong) International Association of Business Management Simulation, (Hong Kong) Icetech Education, and the Greater Bay Area Hong Kong & Macau Talents Association, concluded at the Rayson Huang Theatre of the University of Hong Kong.

 

Nearly 100 teachers and students from 12 teams from 8 universities in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao competed on the same stage. Students of the Faculty of Business demonstrated outstanding capabilities and excellent team collaboration, with the IBC and MBA student teams winning the competition respectively.

 

The IBC student team of Wenjing Shao, Zhenming Yang, and Wenxi Liu, under the supervision of Lecturer Mona Xu, Senior Lecturer Cathy Cheong, and Assistant Professor Bangxing Yu won the Champion of the Competition and the gold award through their excellent case analysis and innovative thinking.

 

Meanwhile, the MBA student team of Wenbin Liang, Yihang Hong, Huishuang Teng, and Boning Li, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Yicong Huang and Lecturer Mona Xu, won the gold award, fully demonstrating the solid professional qualities of the master's students.

 

In addition, another IBC student team of Xingyi Liu, Bowen Yang, Shurui Zhang, Ruiqi He, and Yiyi Zhang, under the joint supervision of Assistant Professor Tiffany Cheng Han Leung, Senior Lecturer Cathy Cheong and Assistant Professor Xunzhuo Xi, won the silver award, further showcasing the strong capabilities of the FOB in cultivating future business leaders.

 

This competition not only provided a stage for students to showcase their talents and challenge their limits, but also built a valuable platform for teachers and students from universities in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao to exchange ideas and collide with wisdom.

 

The FOB has always been committed to cultivating business management talents with an international perspective and innovative thinking. The outstanding performance of the students in this competition further demonstrates the effectiveness of the FOB in enhancing the students' business analysis and problem-solving skills. We will continue to support our students in participating in more domestic and international business competitions, providing them with more practical opportunities and better preparing them for their future career development.
