On 19 October 2023, Senior lecturer Cathy Hang I Cheong invited the Chief Financial officer of L'arc Macau & Lisboeta Macau and Vice chairman of the Macau Society of Certified Public Accountant Mr. Oliver Leung as the guest speaker in the Accounting Practice course for Year 2 students in International Business Cohort (IBC).

Mr Oliver shared his experiences in the Accounting and Finance sector with students, his role as CFO in casinos and the current issues and opportunities such as ESG, Blockchain, Machine Learning and Greater Bay Area.

The students participated and interacted actively with Mr. Leung, asking questions related to acquisition of professional qualifications such as CPA, FRM & CIMA in different bodies, the choice of Master program upon graduation, and techniques of performing financial and investment analysis of public firms. 

Overall, students benefit a lot from Mr Oliver’ s expertise on the above topics and the talk provides useful guidance for their postgraduate studies and career path!
