The Golden Education & PwC Corporation Competition has been held from 13 Dec. 2022 to 26 Mar. 2023. Contestants from home and abroad gathered together for this wonderful competition. The competition was divided into four stages concerning popular industries, such as mobile games, beauty makeup, and logistics. After four rounds of fierce competitions, a junior from our school’s BBA program, Sui Eryu, with her team, stood out from more than 12,000 contestants and qualified for the national finals.

This competition adopted a one-stop mode to help contestants study various industries in-depth and demonstrate their competitive strength. During the three-month preliminary round, semi-final, municipal semi-final, and regional final four rounds of competition, just the top three in each round can enter to the next stage, and there will only be 12 teams left in the final. Sui and her team members have accomplished excellent achievements due to their strong professionalism and outstanding teamwork. It is worth noticing that Sui’s team members are from different majors and top universities in mainland. When seeking for her teammates, Sui first looked for a finance student who was suitable for this competition during her exchange at Shanghai University and found two friends from China Pharmaceutical University in her previous connections to form the team. Through the competition, the group brainstormed, collaborated, and learned mutually. The team discussion time was over 15 hours!

The Final was hosted on 26th March at Kempinski Hotel, Lujiazui, Shanghai. Sui and her team performed superbly and left a deep impression on both the judges and the audience with their professional knowledge and solid practical experience during the English presentation and debate. In addition, Sui also had a profound discussion about the issue "Is ESG a shackle or the future to enterprises?" with Ms. Liu Xiaohui, the senior manager of the PwC ESG Department, sharing her perspectives about ESG and raising questions in the Q and A session, exchanging contact details for further communication.

Eventually, Sui and her team members won 8th place nationally. They have built a deep friendship and been looking forward to future collaboration after the three months journey. In this competition, Sui showed close cooperation capability between our students and top universities in mainland, which established a distinguished image for our university. We expect more students to participate in various competitions like this to explore your own potential and capabilities!
