On March 15, 2023, the Faculty of Business organized a trip to Hong Kong for the International Business Cohort (IBC) to visit the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the immersive exhibition "Dialogue In The Dark". The whole event was conducted in English, enriching students' knowledge of history and new exhibitions in today's society.

Student Experience:

It was a wonderful time visiting the Hong Kong Palace Museum. The museum showcases China's rich and diverse cultural heritage through its exquisite paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, bronzes, and more collections. The museum's architecture is stunning, blending traditional and modern elements in harmony with the city's surrounding landscape. The museum also offers interactive multimedia that brings history and art to life. Participants learned a lot from the adventure in different museum galleries. They highly recommend the Palace Museum to anyone who wants to explore the beauty and wisdom of Chinese civilization.

“Dialogue In The Dark” is a unique and eye-opening experience. In this immersive exhibition, participants are guided by a visually impaired person through scenarios that simulate everyday life in complete darkness to recognize different objects, sounds and smells in the dark. Participants use only the other senses to explore different environments, such as a park, a market, a boat ride, and a café.

Participants also get to interact with the guides and learn about their stories and perspectives. For example, they showed how they use apps to scan barcodes, read text aloud, and navigate with voice directions. Participants were impressed by their resilience and creativity and gained a new appreciation for the power of technology to empower people with disabilities. It is a humbling and inspiring journey that will make participants appreciate the beauty and diversity of life.
