In order to meet the strategic goals of internationalization, innovation and entrepreneurship, and sustainable development for the Faculty of Business of the City University of Macau, Professor Jose Alves, the dean of FOB and Assistant Professor Tiffany Leung take the lead to establish the sustainability club to organize our first workshop on 2030 SDGs Game on 23 November 2020.
The workshop invited Ms. Ruby O, who is the founder of the Society of Food & Environment Health (Macao), as the guest speaker. As the first registered trainer to promote the 2030 SDGs Game to Macao, Ms. Ruby O explained the rule of the game to students through the exchange of time and money by achieving certain goals, such as acquiring wealth, enjoying leisure and environmental conservation. This 2030 SDGs Game could simulate to take students as real world into the year 2030, thus students have a direct experience of participating in co-creating a sustainable world and have a deeper understand on this topic and motive students to think and take certain actions in the real world.
This is important to take the multi-stakeholder partnership with local government, private sector, and civil society to cooperate with each other to achieve the SDG goals. We hope this workshop not only could create awareness in our campus, but also could inspire and motivate our next generation to embrace a vision of sustainable world.
