The open day of the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU) was held on October 23 in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations. Professor Chris Chu, Professor Tiffany Leung and eight FOB students from the Sustainability Club were invited to attend this special event. Students could meet and interact with the UN researchers, students in other universities and external business partners.
The open day was arranged several interactive activities and workshops on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), they introduced a number of current research projects in relation to SDGs, including modeling and Artificial Intelligence for SDGs, empowering migrants with technology to examine the modern slavery of the supply chain and cybersecurity risk and resilience in the Macao context.
This is the first activity of the Sustainability Club of FOB. The club aims to enhance a stronger linkage between academic knowledge and social impact in the Greater Bay Area. This special event could enhance students to broaden their business mindset and think sustainability from a global perspective.
