On 23rd November, Supply-Chain Management Collaborative Teaching Session was hosted for Year One undergraduate students of FOB. The session was organized by Dr. Kris Li, instructor of year one Microeconomic Course. The lecture was scheduled to be hold while students were having their Theory of the Firm and Production Functions sections. This session would expand students’ horizons by exposing them to real-world applications of economic theories, especially the application of Theory of The Firm and Production Function.

Professor Yeung, Program Director of the Executive MBA Course in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was invited as guest speaker. During the session, Professor Yeung introduced the concept of supply-chain and its critical role in corporations. Through case-study analysis of widely reported cases of world renowned corporations, Professor Yeung made the session lively and engaging. It helped students develop a deeper understanding of the entire value-chain and its connection to economic equations on textbooks. Professor Yeung extended his analysis to examine the long-term financial prospects of listed companies. He also encouraged students to prepare themselves to work for high-value sections in the supply chain. Throughout the class, students were asked to participate in group games and learning activities to facilitate comprehension of the material.

This session was well-received by students. In two weeks, students will hand in summaries of what they learned during the session.
