Agreement Signed between City University (FOB) and The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA Australia)

On 30th August, the Faculty of Business (FOB) of City University of Macau (CityU) signed an Agreement with The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA Australia). The Agreement was signed by Dr. Eva Khong, Executive Associate Dean of FOB; and Prof. Allen Wong, the Senior Vice President of Global and the Founding President and Chief Executive of Greater China. The signing of the MOU were witnessed by Prof. Shu Guang Zhang, Rector of CityU; Mr. Chan Chon Pat, Secretary General of the Preparatory Committee of the Council of CityU and Mr. Fong Kwong Yee, Associate Professor of FOB.

 

During the signing ceremony, Professor Wong stated that management accounting is not just about accounting, but about applying the accounting knowledge to make comprehensive managerial judgments on strategy and development, which has great impact in business sectors. CMA Australia was officially founded in Melbourne 1996, serving over 5000 members globally and fulfilling the needs to provide professional accreditation for members and students to meet their business needs in the company. CMA Australia also endeavors to provide a platform for members to acquire advanced strategic technical knowledge, broaden perspective as business man, and promote the enterprise’s development. Rector Zhang warmly welcomed Professor Wong, and remarked that the bilateral cooperation would contribute to new achievement in the future.

 

The Agreement stipulated that students from Faculty of Business are eligible to be exempted from as far as 16 units out of 18 units of the ICMA professional examination.
