Faculty of Business Students Actively Participate in "Rooted in Profession, Boundless in Cross-Disciplinary" Seminar – Faculty Helps Broaden Career Perspectives

On November 25, 2025, the "Rooted in Profession, Boundless in Cross-Disciplinary" seminar, co-organized by the Faculty of Business, was successfully held at the Ho Yin Convention Centre of City University of Macau. The event aimed to equip students with early insights into development trends in fields such as accounting and finance, laying a solid foundation for their future career planning.

 

The seminar brought together senior professionals and industry representatives from the accounting and finance sectors, including: Associate Professor Yihui Tian, Associate Dean of the FOB of City University of Macau; Ms. Choiin Lo, General Manager of the Overseas Institutions Department of ICBC Macau; Ms. Meng Meng, General Manager of Macao International Carbon Emission Rights Exchange; and Mr. Jimmy H. C. Lai, Founding Partner of Hao Xin Certified Public Accountants. The distinguished guests shared practical workplace experiences, cutting-edge industry trends, and cross-disciplinary development pathways with the students, guiding them to deeply understand the importance of building a solid professional foundation while broadening their perspectives for diversified development. The event featured an interactive exchange session, facilitating face-to-face communication between Faculty of Business students and industry veterans. Through real-case studies and forward-looking perspectives, the seminar encouraged young students to solidify their professional foundation while embracing cross-disciplinary challenges and exploring infinite possibilities for career development.

 

The Faculty of Business has consistently been committed to fostering close integration between academia and the industry, actively building bridges for students to connect with the professional world. This seminar not only enhanced students' understanding of their professional fields but also provided valuable references for their future career planning.
