The Faculty of Business and AETS 2025 Conference Committees recently successfully co-hosted the 5th Asia Education Technology Symposium (AETS), held from November 8 to 10. The conference brought together researchers, professors, and students from across Asia with an interest in educational technology, information networks, and computer communications to explore cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The three-day event featured a diverse and enriching program, including 2 keynote speeches, 12 invited speeches, 1 specialized seminar, 1 focused session, and 3 oral presentation sessions. The conference commenced with an opening address by Dean José Alves of the Faculty of Business. He emphasized the importance of integrating technology and business management in today's societal development and highlighted the faculty’s commitment to nurturing future leaders equipped with technological vision and innovative capabilities.
Several experts and scholars from the education sector and the industry were invited to share their insights. In-depth discussions were held on hot topics such as the application of artificial intelligence in education and data-driven business model innovation, which resonated widely among the attendees.
This collaboration underscores the commitment of the Faculty of Business City University of Macau to promoting regional academic development and technological innovation. Moving forward, the faculty will continue to cultivate professionals who possess both technological literacy and business acumen through international cooperation and cross-disciplinary dialogue, preparing them to embrace the opportunities and challenges presented by global digital transformation.
