The Faculty of Business continued to build on the enthusiasm and opportunities generated by CityU’s Campus Entrepreneurship and Employment Carnival by organizing a visit for the senior students of the International Business Cohort (IBC) to 369 CoopTown on March 25. This visit focused on the theme of regional innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to help young people understand the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as the historical and developmental opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
Established in 2021, 369 CoopTown serves as a comprehensive entrepreneurial incubation hub, providing tailored infrastructure and a range of support services for individual entrepreneurs and SMEs. As the largest private entrepreneurial collaboration space in Macao, it boasts extensive connections with government, industry, and academia.
The event was hosted by Assistant President Miriam Loi from the administrative team of 369 CoopTown, who passionately explained the town’s social connections, abundant entrepreneurial resources, and strong support for entrepreneurs. During the visit, students had the opportunity to tour the entrepreneurial space and actively engage with local entrepreneurs through enthusiastic interactions.
This visit was led by Assistant Professor Limeng Yu of FOB; and Mr. Isaac Tong, Supervisor of the Ung Choi Kun Entrepreneurship and Career Centre (ECC) positively participated and supported the event. The event not only strengthened FOB’s ties with local entrepreneurial innovation spaces in Macao but also allowed the year 4 IBC senior undergraduates to gain a deeper understanding of entrepreneurial incubation opportunities in the Greater Bay Area from a practical perspective.
The IBC programme at the Faculty of Business aims to inspire and train students to combine theory with practice, fostering the development of international business leaders. Through extensive connections and exchanges with the industry, the programme seeks to broaden student’s horizons, continuously stimulate their enthusiasm for learning, and support their future professional development.
