FOB Invites Mr. Ken Vong to Discuss the Application and Development of Information Technology in the Macao Entertainment Industry

At the invitation of the Faculty of Business at the University of Macau, Mr. Ken Vong from Galaxy Entertainment Group delivered a thematic lecture titled "Development of Information Technology in Macao Entertainment Industry" on February 21, 2025, at the Ho Yin Convention Centre on the Taipa campus. The lecture aimed to highlight the significance of information technology in the Macao entertainment industry and its developmental trends. Mr. Vong, who currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of the Information Systems and Technology Department at Galaxy Entertainment Group, leads efforts in IT solution and development, with extensive management experience and a solid technical background.

 

During the lecture, Mr. Vong first first introduced the challenges and future trends in the development of the Macao entertainment industry. He then focused on the current applications of information technology in the entertainment sector, including how big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems are transforming guest experiences and operational efficiency. He shared innovative practices in IT solution and development at Galaxy Entertainment Group and discussed how these technologies can further assist the development of the Macao entertainment industry. Mr. Vong encouraged students to consider the development issues of the Macao entertainment industry from perspectives such as corporate social responsibility, technological innovation, industry challenges, and the diversified development of the Macao economy.

 

Organized by Assistant Professor Jing Zhao, students actively interacted and posed questions to Mr. Vong during the lecture. This event broadened their horizons, enhanced their understanding of Macao's diversified economic development strategies, and deepened their insight into the application of information technology in real business environments.
