On August 30, 2024, Professor Liu Xingxin, Vice Dean of the School for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Guangdong Finance and Trade Vocational College, paid a visit to the Faculty of Business at the City University of Macau. She was warmly received by Professor Zhou Wanlei, Vice Rector of the City University of Macau, and Professor José Alves, Dean of the Faculty of Business. Together, they conducted a ceremony to officially designate City University of Macau as an executive vice-chair institution of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Digital Business Industry-Education Integration Consortium.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Digital Business Industry-Education Integration Consortium was initiated by Guangzhou Alibaba Cloud Co., Ltd., Jinan University, and Guangdong Finance and Trade Vocational College. The consortium encompasses nearly two hundred institutions from the Greater Bay Area, including universities, research institutes, enterprises, and NGOs. It aspires to integrate the development of the digital business industry with talent cultivation in the Greater Bay Area, implementing a strategic layout referred to as "one body, two wings" for digital business. The consortium is dedicated to fostering a deep integration between digital business education and industry, with the goal of nurturing high-caliber digital business professionals. Since its inception, the consortium has made significant strides in both technological innovation and talent development, taking on several key projects with service funds in the tens of millions.
Following the plaque ceremony, in-depth discussions were held between the two parties, during which they exchanged ideas on future collaborative research initiatives and mutual exchange visits.
