Assistant Professor Farzad Sabetzadeh attended the Alibaba Cloud Summit in Singapore and visited Nanyang Technology University's Joint Research Lab on AI

As one of the coordinators of the BBA program in the faculty of business (FOB), assistant professor Farzad Sabetzadeh was invited to the Alibaba Cloud Summit in Singapore, which took place on January 30, 2024. During the summit, industry leaders and technology experts engaged in in-depth discussions regarding cloud computing and advanced technologies.


He also participated in a roundtable discussion on artificial intelligence in education and business, where he shared his insights and perspectives on the latest developments and trends in the field and its applications. Furthermore, he visited the Alibaba-NTU Singapore Joint Research Institute (JRI), which is a collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore).


The JRI is Alibaba's first AI research institute outside China, and its mission is to develop cutting-edge solutions for real-world problems in areas such as health, smart homes, urban transportation, and e-commerce. He was able to learn more about the projects and accomplishments of the JRI researchers by interacting with the researchers there.


In his remarks, Assistant Professor Farzad expressed his appreciation for the summit and the JRI, and he hoped to facilitate more collaborations and exchanges between Alibaba Cloud and NTU Singapore in the future. Moreover, he expressed his appreciation for the host's hospitality and the organization's professionalism.
