The Faculty of Business (FOB) of City University of Macau (CITYU) and the College of Economics and Management (CEM) of Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) held a fruitful meeting on December 15 on campus to discuss in-depth about the cooperation in teaching and scientific research. The representatives from both sides fully exchanged their intentions and expectations for cooperation, and will continue to conduct detailed consultations and negotiations in order to reach a formal cooperation agreement.

In terms of teaching collaboration, the Faculty of Business of City University of Macau and the College of Economics and Management of Northwest A&F University have reached a consensus. The FOB plans to launch a summer program called "Doing Business in Portuguese-Speaking Countries" to provide students with learning opportunities related to business environments in Portuguese-speaking countries. The CEM has shown keen interest in this program and expressed its willingness to recommend students to participate. Both parties will further discuss the specific collaboration details and implementation in subsequent negotiations. Additionally, they have also agreed to enhance faculty collaboration, including sharing teaching experiences, sharing teaching resources, and exploring teaching methods.

Regarding research collaboration, both parties have also reached a consensus. The CEM aims to expand partnerships with other universities in Portuguese-speaking countries through collaboration with the FOB. They also seek to establish cooperation with research institutions in Brazil and other agricultural powerhouses through CITYU 's connections. Both parties unanimously agreed to deepen research cooperation, including identifying suitable collaboration opportunities, exploring collaboration scopes and methods, and jointly applying for research projects and publishing papers. This will provide more opportunities for academic exchanges and collaborations between faculty and students from both universities.

During the meeting, representatives from the CEM were invited to visit the campus of the CITYU. The Dean of FOB, José Alves, and Associate Dean, Tian Yihui, personally guided them on the campus tour, showcasing the teaching facilities and environment of the university. After the meeting, representatives from both sides will exchange contact information for further collaboration discussions and negotiations.

The successful convening of this meeting marks the beginning of collaboration between the Faculty of Business of City University of Macau and the College of Economics and Management of Northwest A&F University. It also provides more opportunities for exchanges and collaborations between faculty and students from both universities.
