Dorothy:

This is my first time to participate in the business challenge competition, and the third place was unexpected for us. Of course, we thought that we had put in 100 percent effort to prepare for the speech, so it was a wonderful journey. From the first case study, to the semi-final speech, to the final limit of 72 hours, my ability has been improved qualitatively. Brainstorm and cooperate with my friends, let me realize my shortcomings and advantages, we can sum up experience together in time, and make progress together! In this preparation process, we have had more and deeper academic exchanges with all teachers. Thank you very much for the guidance provided by all teachers, which helped us make up for the lack of academic knowledge reserve, and made us praise our opponents for our financial analysis in the final! All in all, this is a very good opportunity to exercise and learn. I hope our team BJSD can win higher awards together in the future and go to a bigger and better stage!

Josephine:

It’s grateful to participate in the Global Business Challenge Competition. Through one case after another, my case analysis ability has improved, and it also cultivated my ability to become a future business elite. In the collision of ideas with my teammates and the discussions with teachers, my knowledge application and mental acumen have been continuously enhanced and enriched. At the same time, I received guidance from experienced judges in the competition, and also met many elites from other schools, exchanging the ideas with them broadened my horizons and gaining precious friendships. Thanks for all the supports and cooperation by my teammates, teachers, schools, judges, other friends who participated in the CIMA Global Business Challenge again, and hopefully I can grow and become a responsible elite in the future.

Sophronia:

It’s a great honor to participate in CGMA Global Business Challenge 2023 on behalf of our school-City University of Macau. It’s an exceptional opportunity for me to improve myself by preparing the presentation and the talent show. I used to be a very shy girl, but in this competition, I have to show myself and talk about my opinions in front of many judges and professors and other excellent teams. Therefore, I become more confident during the competition. When preparing this competition, I went through the knowledge learned in the first year and tried to use the knowledge to solve the real business problems. All the idea and the projects of our team were come from our brainstorming during our team meeting. I sincerely want to thank all the members in our team-BJSD. Our team leader Dorothy sent us all the materials of the tasks and communicated with the organizer of the competition and our tutors. Brittney provided us with useful and constructive suggestions. And Josephine helped me a lot in the financing part and discussed the ideas about how to present our financing strategy in the task. The meaning of our team name is that brave and judicious spirit can defeat everything. Yes, we did. We worked together and prepared for the final presentation until midnight. Thank you for all of our team members’ efforts. Last but not least, I sincerely thank all the tutors and professors who guided us and gave us constructive suggestions. In the future, I will try my best to participate in other competition to find more potential of myself.

Brittney:

It’s a pleasure for me to participate in the GBC 2023. Many more thanks to myself, my teammates, and all the teachers who give us guidance and encouragement. Never have I imagined that I can stand on the stage of GBC and gain such success with my teammates. This is really a fruitful process for us: we learn how to cooperate, we learn how to create, we learn how to be brave and confident. We believe that we are made for great things, and we hope that one day we can sing the song of” we are the champion” in the future. I’m sure that more and more successes will keep coming along our way.
