AICPA & CIMA’s CGMA Global Business Challenge 2023 Macau final was held on June 4, 2023. Faculty of Business from City University of Macau (CityU) successfully co-organized the event in which FOB Team “BJSD” won the 2nd runner-up. The team members, Wang Yuhan, Shao Wenjing, Liu Wenxi, Liu Xingyi, will represent CityU at the 2023 GBC North Asia Final on June 10, competing fiercely with 10 other North Asia teams.

The CGMA GBC brought the world by AICPA & CIMA, together as the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, is an international platform for participants to apply their business and financial management learnings into solutions to real-world issues as well as stimulate innovational talent. This year, the GBC has drawn the best and brightest from six regions including Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mongolia, South Korea, and Taiwan. During the competition, participants are expected to register in groups of four and submit a case-specific analysis in the specified time. The actual case scenarios of the CIMA’s CGMA professional qualification examination, emphasizing the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, can provide a vivid, immersive, and interactive situation for competitor to perform, produce and create.
