The 2021 academic year Faculty of Business Students' Self-Visit Enterprises plan has been successfully completed. Below is one of the group: O-MOON (Tang Xie Ying, Huang Yong Jun, Liu Rui Jia, Liu Mei Song)

Founded in 2016, O-MOON sells boutiques with Macau-specific elements, combining aesthetics and practicality. Based on the current market situation at that time, the souvenirs in Macau were limited to food products such as Koi Kei. The cultural market was relatively weak and the source of customers was single. Therefore, the development potential of products designed and created by integrating Macau’s unique Chinese and Portuguese elements was quite large. In this way, special products not only provide a certain opportunity for tourists who like local culture to use this souvenir in daily life or as a gift to relatives and friends, but also achieve the effect of cultural dissemination, and emphasize cultural symbols, explore more cultural elements, and implement pluralism. fusion.

This company visit invited Mr. Wu Jinsheng, the founder of O-MOON Macau Mingyue Co., Ltd. to conduct an interview. During the conversation, we learned that the development of O-MOON reached the peak of turnover around Christmas at the end of 2019. In the best rising period, the monthly turnover has reached one million. With the onset of the COVID, the number of tourists in Macau has fallen sharply, and the economy of Macau has contracted significantly. The company also faces fixed costs such as store rent, which puts a lot of pressure on the company in terms of funds. Mr. Wu said that the biggest change is the sales model, from the initial focus on offline store operations to the focus on online marketing. Diversified network channels are mainly deployed on various online platforms according to consumers in different regions. For domestic consumers, companies choose to sell on Taobao platform, and for local consumers in Hong Kong and Macau, there are official website purchase channels. Targeting international consumers is to use Taiwan's mobile phone platform Pin Koi to help them sell their products internationally.

Mr. Wu has repeatedly emphasized his determination and enthusiasm to focus on "doing your own thing and designing your own". students believe that in the future when the epidemic is over soon, O-MOON, with such ideas, determination and brand characteristics, will definitely be able to walk out of O-MOON's own path, show Macau's characteristics, soft but firm in his heart.
