“Go Green” Staff Club Gathering

Starting from 2021, the Rector’s Office has regularly cooperated with various faculties to organize "Go Green" staff club activities to promote communication between faculty and staff through various networking activities. On the afternoon of January 5, 2022, the "Go Green" staff club tea gathering co-organized by the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Finance of City University of Macau was successfully held in the Exhibition Hall of the Cultural Center of the Taipa Campus.

First of all, Rector Jun Liu sent New Year greetings to all staff of the university and affirmed the contributions of the faculty and staff to the school in the past year. Dean José Alves of the Faculty of Business and Dean Adrian Wai Kong Cheung of the Faculty of Finance respectively delivered welcome speeches to all attendees, and thanked all staff and students for their support and participation in this event. Special thanks to Luso Bank and Well Link Bank for their generous and exquisite gifts.

In line with the theme of "Go Green", the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Finance prepared healthy fresh green fruits and exquisite refreshments. The staff enjoyed food and the wonderful music performances presented by students from the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Finance, including guitar playing and singing, Zither solo and so on. At the time when a delegation from Guangdong University of Technology visited the City University of Macau, CityU Rector Liu Jun invited Rector Qiu Xueqing of Guangdong University of Technology and CityU leaders to host the lucky draw and have fun with everyone. Then, the atmosphere reached its climax in the lucky draw part. Many lucky winners received cash coupons and various gifts sponsored by City University of Macau, Luso International Banking Ltd. (Macau) and Well Link Bank.

The "Go Green" event brought the leaders and staff closer to each other. It promoted the friendship among colleagues, strengthened the cohesion between departments and faculties, and reflected the distinctive school culture of City University of Macau.

The "Go Green" staff club gathering highlighted the humanistic care of the City University of Macau to the staff with compassion and openness. The staff were filled with joy, and left with a rewarding experience.
