[Macau Daily] News from the Supporting Office of the Permanent Secretariat of the China-Portugal Forum: The “Network Seminar on the Post-epidemic Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Portuguese-speaking Countries” hosted by the Permanent Secretariat of the China-Portugal Forum (Macau) and undertaken by the City University of Macau was held on July 2 It was successfully held from the 10th to the 26th. Ding Tian, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the China-Portugal Forum, and Jose Alves, Dean of the School of Business and Director of the Open School of City University of Macau, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony on the 20th.


    In his speech, Ding Tian said that the current global epidemic situation is still severe, and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises is also facing many difficulties. This seminar is also the first seminar held by the secretariat focusing on economic recovery and development since the outbreak of the epidemic. It is hoped that the participants will learn and communicate. Exchange what is needed, actively discuss the international situation, industry development trends, corporate innovation and crisis management, and strive for learning. The China-Portugal Forum pays close attention to the development of the epidemic, and actively uses offline + online methods to carry out related work under the framework of the forum, promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Portuguese enterprises, and promote the economic recovery and development of the participating countries of the forum.


    This seminar is the first seminar of this year at the China-Portuguese Forum (Macau) Training Center. Sixty-one officials and business representatives from three Portuguese-speaking countries, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique, participated online. The trainees conducted seminars and exchanges on topics such as economic development after the new crown epidemic, SME strategy and innovation, operational resilience and crisis management, digital transformation, social responsibility, supply chain and logistics with China, and Macau's role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. Under the current epidemic situation, this seminar has made full use of Internet resources to create an online communication platform to effectively promote the exchange of experience between Portuguese-speaking countries and SMEs in China, including Macau, on post-epidemic development, and jointly promote the economic recovery and development of the participating countries of the forum.
