Under the lead of Associate Professor Lou, students of BAE programme went to Shenzhen and visited Infinova, a Science Stock Company Ltd. Infinova was established in 1993, is an innovating, advisory, integrating security products manufacturer, also the world-advancing supplier and chief strategic advisor of smart city, which has been listed on Shenzhen A share stock market. Infinova has been certificated by many authorities, and been selected as one of “ Top 50 ” of A&S worldwide. It has constantly gained over 60 prizes such the tag of “ One of top 10 greatest security products in China” and “ Extraordinary contributor to peaceful city”, holding over 30 patents. Infinova is a high-tech manufacturer that deserves to be studied in many aspects.
Mr. Yuanliu Hua, vice chief executive director of Infinova warmly welcomed the professors and students. During the visit, students were firstly introduced the history and general situations of Infinova. After that, in a laboratory that was filled with cameras made in different ages, where students admired the progress of era. Then, through watching a video to help students learn more about Infinova. An interaction is especially set to let students get a better understanding of CCTV surveillance, widely uses of facial recognizing system, bright future of development, and influences from all aspects that are relevant to this field. Moreover, the reason why correlated fields developed countries like US are less advancing than China are deeply discussed. At last, after the processes of destabilization and degusting, students were allowed to visit production line led and instructed by technicians. Infinova has production lines that are almost fully mechanized, only few staff are responsible for supervision, and a small number of workers for sophisticated work and products to meet special needs. All students praised the high density of techniques.
At the moment while admiring technical progress, students of BAE programme were looking forward to more opportunities to get to know developments in other fields.
