Mr. Matthew S. Hosford attended the “Dialogue with CEO” Session

On January 24th, Faculty of Business invited Matthew Hosford, the Principal Banking Specialist at the International Finance Corporation, to meet informally with the International Business Cohort Students on “Ringing the Changes in International Banking”. Professor Khong, Associate Executive Dean of the FOB, Professor Priscilla Roberts, IBC Coordinator, and Professor Fong, Coordinator of Bachelor of Business Administration Programme and teachers of the FOB all attended this session. Professor Roberts presented a souvenir to Mr. Matthew Hosford.

 

Matthew Hosford joined IFC in October 2017 and advises investment teams throughout Asia. From 2007 to 2017, he was the Chief Risk Officer in the Asia-Pacific region and helped the Group set up operations in the region including representing the Group on two boards of directors in China. Mr. Hosford shared with the students about his risk management experience in the banking industry and how to safeguard the operation of the bank by controlling risks, preventing bank losses. He indicated that took the most reasonable and most economical way as precautionary measures to manage risks and made up for the loss appeared to ensure the profits. Mr. Matthew Hosford also answered questions from students about the banking industry. He encouraged students to continue their studies even after school.
