Course Description

Commercial law is a highly practical subject, which is the law regulating commercial relations and covers a wide range of knowledge. An in-depth understanding of the commercial law system is the first condition for studying market economy. It caters for the laws of market development, protects the rights and interests of market players, and promotes the healthy and harmonious development of the market. For the basis of the course, the focus will be on the common law system, with some examples discussed in the civil law system. 

Throughout this semester, it aims to provide an understanding of the implications law in business settings under common law. This unit will explore the legal framework governing business operations, transactions, and decision-making, to better equip students with the legal knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the business world.

1. To understand the fundamental principles and concept of business law

2. To be equipped with legal knowledge and skills necessary for making informed business decisions and mitigating legal risks

3. Learn the essential components and impact of interventions related to business law.
