FOB Invites Guest Speaker for Lecture on "How can the Internet empower the traditional asset management industry in China?"

On March 28th, the FOB invited Ms. Xi Liu, the Internet Finance Operations Manager of the Bosera Asset Management Co., Ltd., to deliver an engaging lecture to BBA year 2 students. The lecture focused on the topic of "How can the Internet empower the traditional asset management industry in China?" and attracted a high level of interest from the students.

 

Ms. Liu Xi began by introducing the scale of operations and service channels of Bosera Asset's E-Business Department, emphasizing the department's innovative achievements in the field of e-business. They were not only the first in the industry to initiate nationwide online payment services for commercial banks but also implemented intelligent investment plans and assisted Alipay in obtaining fund payment qualifications. Additionally, they collaborated with renowned internet companies such as Taobao, Baidu Wealth, and Ant Group to launch a series of innovative products and services.

 

During the lecture, Ms. Liu explained how e-business empowers China's traditional asset management industry. She pointed out that the development and application of internet technology have brought about numerous opportunities and challenges to the asset management industry. Through internet platforms, investors can conveniently and swiftly carry out fund transactions and inquiries, while also enjoying a wider range of investment services and tools. Furthermore, internet finance has facilitated the digital transformation of the asset management industry, providing more extensive data analysis and intelligent investment tools to assist investors in making informed investment decisions.

 

Ms. Liu highlighted several successful cases to demonstrate the role of the internet in the asset management industry. She mentioned internet giants such as Ant Group, Tencent Wealth Management, JD Finance, as well as traditional Chinese banks and securities firms. Through internet platforms, they have achieved more extensive financial services and introduced innovative products.

 

Following the lecture, the students engaged in lively discussions on the topic of how e-business empowers the traditional asset management industry. They raised various questions and had in-depth exchanges with Ms. Liu Xi, gaining a better understanding of the future development of e-business and the transformation of the asset management industry.
