On May 15th, 2023, Prof Leona Tam, associate dean of the faculty of business from the University Technology Sydney  (UTS), and her colleagues gave an online presentation to the International Business Cohort (IBC) students at the City University of Macau.

The presentation discussed various topics regarding studying and living at UTS, including academic programs, research facilities, campus life, scholarships and financial aid, visas and immigration, and Australian culture and society. She discussed her personal and professional experiences and the advantages and challenges of higher education abroad. Aside from answering questions from the audience, Prof. Tam provided useful tips and resources for IBC students considering visiting, exchanging, or continuing their studies at UTS.

Students in the IBC program expressed their appreciation for the presentation and were curious about UTS and Australia. A number of IBC students expressed an interest in learning more about UTS and exploring its opportunities. Prof. Jose Alves, dean of the Faculty of Business, and Prof. Farzad Sabetzadeh, coordinator of the IBC program, also commended the presentation.

In order to connect IBC students with universities in different countries and regions, the IBC program organizes online events from time to time. By participating in such discussion events, IBC students will be exposed to a wide range of perspectives and experiences in business studies at an international level. This will enable them to be more prepared for their future career and educational endeavours.
