On April 22 and May 8, Assistant Professor Tiffany Leung from the FOB  led two groups of third-year Bachelor of Business Administration students to visit the Grand Lisboa Palace under SJM Resorts. The purpose of this visit was to provide students with first-hand experience of the resort's efforts and achievements in the area of sustainable development.

Initially, Dr Bernard Cheng, Director of the Sustainability Department, elaborated in detail on the resort's ESG policies, strategic planning, and future objectives. Subsequently, hotel staff outlined the group's hotel portfolio, allowing the students to gain a deeper understanding of the SJM Resorts's scale and diverse business. After lunch, staff members guided the students to visit three different hotels under the SJM Resorts: The KARL Lagerfeld, Palazzo Versace, and Grand Lisbon Palace. During the visit, the students gained an in-depth understanding of the specific practices of these hotels in sustainable development, such as the application of renewable energy and green building design.

This visit has enhanced the students' understanding of corporate social responsibility. The FOB will continue to deepen exchange and cooperation with different organizations, jointly promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry in Macao and the Greater Bay Area, and creating more green value for society.
