On April 19th, representatives of the Faculty of Business of City University of Macau and the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University held a ceremony and lectures in HG03 to celebrate the appointment of Distinguished Professors. Guests attending the ceremony and lecture included Professor Kong Fanqing, Vice Rector of City University of Macau; Professor Eva Khong, Executive Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business; Professor Fan Zheng, Dean of the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University; Associate Professor Wu Yuqiao, Director of the MBA Center of the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University; Dr. Fan Peihua of the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University; and numerous teachers from the City University of Macau.

Vice Rector Kong Fanqing warmly welcomed Dean Fan and the professors of School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University to City University of Macau. With Vice Rector Kong Fanqing and Dr. Fan Peihua as witnesses, Dean Eva Khong and Professor Fan Zheng jointly signed an academic exchange agreement. Executive Associate Dean Eva Khong introduced Professor Fan Zheng to the students. Professor Fan Zheng is the Dean of the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University. He also serves as the Director of the Shanghai Institute of Management Science; the Deputy Secretary-General and a member of the Academic Committee of the Shanghai Public Relations Association; and a Member of Academic Committee of China Public Relations Association. Professor Fan is a scholar internationally renowned for his outstanding achievements, who has made important academic contributions in teaching and research and received numerous awards. He was invited to serve as a Distinguished Professor of the Faculty of Business. Vice Rector Kong Fanqing presented Professor Fan Zheng with a certificate as Distinguished Professor and a souvenir.

Executive Associate Dean Eva Khong then introduced Associate Professor Wu Yuqiao. He is an Associate Professor of the School of Business and Management of Shanghai International Studies University; Director of the MBA Center of Shanghai International Studies University; and former General Manager of Jiashan Enterprise Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Associate Professor Wu is a leading expert in entrepreneurship, especially corporate entrepreneurship, who achievements in the fields of entrepreneurship and education have been outstanding, winning him numerous awards. He was invited to serve as a Distinguished Associate Professor of the Faculty of Business. Vice Rector Kong Fanqing presented Professor Wu Yuqiao with a certificate as Distinguished Professor and a souvenir.

Professor Fan Zheng delivered a lecture on “Cross-cultural Management Methods and Paths in the Belt and Road Initiative.” He stated that cross-cultural management is of the utmost importance to any company. Dean Fan used metaphors to introduce and explain the multinational company to students in a concise manner. Director Wu Yuqiao used actual communication experiences in sales to analyze the secrets of effective communication and how to do well in negotiations. The students expressed great appreciation of the substantial content and lively presentation of these lectures, from which they learned a great deal.
