On April 23rd, 2024, the Faculty of Business of City University of Macau successfully organized a Digital Transformation Seminar and CIMA Career Sharing Session. Mr. Louis Lin, a member of CIMA Hong Kong Committee, was invited as the guest speaker to bring in-depth industry insights to the students and teachers.
Mr. Louis Lin has a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master's degree in Corporate Governance from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With nearly a decade of rich experience in the art auction industry, he currently serves as the Vice President and Finance Manager of Christie's Asia, responsible for financial operations and demonstrating exceptional expertise in areas such as system upgrades, blockchain transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
During the sharing session, Mr. Louis Lin emphasized the importance of programming in his career and elaborated on how digital transformation will help corporate finance management meet future challenges. He gave the audience a more intuitive understanding of digital transformation by sharing his work experience at Christie's, especially the successful cases of digital transformation and the challenges they faced. He also highlighted the use of blockchain technology in art transactions, which has significantly improved the transparency and efficiency of transactions.
