Course Description

In the current context of highly integrated global economy, learning international financial management is highly necessary. International financial management is a new discipline that extends modern financial management into the international prespective. The objective of this course is to enable students to learn:

• How multinational enterprises and managers face and effectively deal with financial management and corporate governance issues in the context of international economic conditions.

• The movement of capital flows and financial relationships of businesses in international markets, including the fundamentals of international financial management, foreign exchange markets, determinants of exchange rates, and currency derivatives.

• Understanding and managing foreign exchange risk exposure.

• Contents related to international financial markets, international financial institutions, and financial management of multinational enterprises.




Course Learning Outcomes(CLOs) 

Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to:

CLO1. Understand the fundamentals of international financial management and the theoretical framework of macroeconomics.

CLO2. Explain and describe the foreign exchange market, determinants of exchange rates, and currency derivative instruments.

CLO3. Identify and describe foreign exchange risk exposure and its management.

CLO4. Gain knowledge of international financial markets and international financial institutions.

CLO5. Discuss the financial management of multinational companies.

CLO6. Strength and develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
