On September 27, 2017, the Faculty of Business held 2017 Summer Vacation Internship Experience Sharing Meeting. Professor Kong Fanqing, Vice Rector of City U, Dr. Eva Khong, the Executive Associate Dean, and other professors attended this meeting.

During the past summer vacation, the Faculty of Business offered internships in the companies in Guangzhou to all students. The six host companies are the Hongda Xingye Group, the Guangdong Elderly-care Services Association, Sunten Electric Equipment Co. Ltd., Guangzhou Shengyimeng Food Co. Ltd., Guangzhou Easy Elderly Care Services Co. Ltd., and the Chongqing Qixiang Group. All students from the Faculty of Business were eligible to participate in the recruitment exercise organized by a team of FOB professors. Finally 7 students passed the interview: they are Zhang Naixin and Chen Jiajie from the MBA program, Zhong jiyou from the DBA program, Xu Shaolan, Song Yiting and Yang Zixin from the BBA program, and Wang Chaoxuan from the BAE program.

Professor Kong Fanqing presented the 7 students with certificates recognizing their successful internship. The 7 students shared their experiences and the insights they had gained from their internships, in terms of working environment, duties and attitude. They were extremely grateful for these great opportunities FOB offered them, to gain actual working experience and skills. During their internships, the FOB professors visited to their host companies and met the managers, who highly commended their performance and attitude. All the companies involved will welcome further FOB students to participate in the internship programme.

This meeting sparked great interest among students in taking up internship opportunities next year. Many said that in future they hoped to join in these activities and take up internships.
