Warm Congratulations to Tammy Xue Chufan, now in her third year in the IBC programme.

We like to send some of our students to the NUS Enterprise Summer School, which offers extremely good training in entrepreneurship, as well as an international experience.

In summer 2021, this programme was only available remotely. Tammy decided to attend, and worked with an international team, that won the first prize for their Start-Up proposal:

GOCART: Connecting Delicious Street Food to Hungry Stomachs

Tammy writes about her experiences:

“I think this program has several advantages. Firstly, I can get to know a lot of brilliant peers. One of our team members already has his own startup and it is quite successful. Students from NUS work really hard, which made me think about if I can do it better no matter when I do projects. Secondly, I learned knowledge about ASEAN countries and startup companies from Professor Tom who is really patient and nice. Finally, I listened to many panels from famous companies such as TikTok, Grab, and P4S. These lectures provided me with cutting-edge information about the market, information helping me to understand the business world nowadays.”

Let us all hope that in 2022, this programme will take place in-person again, on the campus of the National University of Singapore. Meanwhile, we are all very proud of Tammy’s success!
