On April 17, 2025, under the guidance of Wei Wei Seah, Senior Lecturer at City University of Macau's Faculty of Business, third-year BBA students participated in a meaningful visit to the Integrity Tour Classroom Programme of the Macau Independent Commission Against Corruption (CCAC). This event, themed "Integrity Experience Programme for Youth," was designed to enhance students' understanding of integrity work and its critical role in society.

The event began with an informative lecture delivered by Ms. Jillian Chang from the Community Promotion and Public Relations Division of the CCAC. She shared various practical cases that highlighted real-world corruption-related challenges, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in preventing bribery. Following the lecture, students toured the Integrity Education Base, where they learned about the historical development of the CCAC, visited a simulated identification room, and examined different case studies illustrating the implications of corruption.

The primary aim of this visit was to raise students' awareness of bribery issues prevalent in the private sector and to explore effective strategies for prevention and control. The discussion underscored that bribery in the private sector not only undermines fair market competition but also significantly erodes social trust and integrity. The government actively promotes relevant legislation and policies to establish a fairer and more transparent business environment, reflecting a commitment to integrity at all levels.

Throughout the visit, students exhibited a high level of engagement, showing great interest in the topics discussed. They actively asked questions and interacted with the speakers, demonstrating their concern and thoughtful consideration regarding integrity issues. Their enthusiastic participation indicated a strong desire to understand the importance of maintaining ethical standards in their future careers.

This event is part of a broader collaboration between the City University of Macau and the Macao CCAC, aimed at promoting the rule of law and social development through academic exchange and social dialogue. The lecture and activities were specifically designed for university students and focused on the law concerning "Preventing and Combating Bribery in the Private Sector." This initiative serves as a reminder for students to remain vigilant and uphold integrity in their future workplaces, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate ethical challenges effectively.
